Site Remediation
Consulting & Management

When chemical impacts to soil or groundwater are identified following a Phase II ESA or subsurface investigation, remediation may be required to restore the site to meet applicable standards based on intended land use.

Vertex's engineers and scientists are frequently called upon to provide specialized services for contaminated sites and brownfields. These services include consulting on remedial options and costs, peer reviews of third-party reports, and expert witness services in land disputes.

Remediation of chemical impacts to soil and groundwater can be effected through a variety of in-situ and ex-situ techniques, including:

  • Excavation & Off-Site Disposal (Soils)

  • Chemical/Biological Injection (Soils & Groundwater)

  • Pump and Treat (Groundwater)

  • Pump and Off-Site Disposal (Groundwater)

Road Construction

The preferred remedial strategy is commonly a function of multiple factors, including specific contaminant chemistry and concentrations, hydrogeological conditions, site constraints, budget, and treatment timeline requirements.
